Mommy!

My life holds a purpose,
My eyes see the direction;
If it hadn't been you mom,
I would have never known perfection!


Our laugh in rhythm, sighs in sync, 
Your support in all the hardship;
If it hadn't been you mom,
I would have never known friendship!


I see colors in grays,
Sparkle where treasures have gone dusty;
If it hadn't been you mom,
I would have never known beauty!


You have showered your share of life,
You have blessed me when God has ignored;
I have survived on your breath,
Your unconditional love makes me feel so adored!


Funny it is when I pause to ponder,
Why am I falling short of poetic words, I wonder!
Perhaps there are no words to describe a mother's heart,
Her love, her touch - all a gesture of art!


An imperfect me with my tender experiences,
You still hug me like I am your little princess;
Oceans away and you sense my smile, my tears and agony,
You are my angel on earth! I love you so much! I miss you, mommy!
